wife - Almeda Ann Boston (1829-1855)
daughter - Minerva Scott Adams Asher 1852-1879 (buried in Woodson, Morgan, IL)Married 1: Almeda Boston on March 11, 1844 in Anderson County, Kentucky.
They had five children. Two boys and three girls. Two of the girls died in early childhood.

Married 2: Anna Maria Gaines on September 12, 1858 in Anderson County, Kentucky.
They had three children.

The family came to Jacksonville about 1876.

Survived by three sons: James Adams, William Adams, and Elisha Adams, all of Woodson; one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Asher of Woodson; a brother, Joel S. Adams of Jacksonville; a sister, Mrs. Wickersham of Paris, Texas; twenty-three grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Christian Church in Woodson.
Burial was to be in Henry Cemetery.


Civil War Veteran. He was in the Army and honorably discharged.

His obit stated his second wife, Anna M. died on Feb. 8, 1904.
