Dorothy Dawson Lovelady, of Vienna, W. Va., died December 29,2010, at St. Josephs Hospital.
A longtime resident of Vienna, W. Va., Dottie was born November 4, 1927, in Old hickory, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Charles E. and Bessie L. Dawson.
She was a Protestant by faith and a retiree of the Bureau of Public Debt. Dottie was an avid lover of sports, especially football, baseball and Nascar.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, her beloved son Craig; and her husband of fifty-two years, Hugh H. Lovelady Sr.
Dottie is also survived by a sister, Carolyn; her daughter, Deborah and husband Brad; her son, Hugh H. and wife Jan; one beloved granddaughter, Amber Rae and husband Kevin; and her babies, her great-grandchildren, Charis Rae, Elias Matthew, and Calista Joy.
Friends may call at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, on Sunday, January 2, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Graveside serices with burial will conclude services on Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at the Appomattox Cemetery, Hopewell, Virginia at 2 p.m.
