Myrtle was the daughter of Uriah and Rhoda "Rhodie" Nichols, nee Williams. She is listed with her family as an 11-yr. old in the 1900 census, living in Oceana County's Greenwood Township, near Holton. At the age of 18 she married Albert Edwin Wiegand, son of John and Anna Wiegand, nee Clark. At least one child, Edwin L., was born to the couple. Myrtle spent the last 30 years of her life a widow.
