"Lyle L. Wilkinson, aged 30, of the State Hotel in Ilion, died November 15. He was born January 13, 1930, in Litchfield, the son of Grove and Alice (Morris) Wilkinson. He was an expediter in the General Electric Plant in Utica. He served in the Korean War with the U. S. Army. Surviving are his mother of Frankfort; six sisters, Mrs. Agnes Penpland of Dolgeville, Mrs. Esther Looman of Winfield, Mrs. Irma Birch of Milford, Mrs. Arlene Nutt of Edmeston, Mrs. Alice Vibbard of Ilion and Mrs. Nellie Sprague of Leonardsville; three brothers, Irwin and Floyd of Milford and Earl of Edmeston; a half brother, Bargie Wilkinson of Fort Plain and 49 nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were held Friday, November 18 at 2 p. m. from the Applegate Funeral Home in Ilion, with the Rev. Arthur Lacey of the First Baptist church, officiating.
