HARRODSBURG - Farthing, Harrison Charles, 85, died. Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.

OBITUARY, HARRODSBURG, KENTUCKY 06/02/2011.
Harrison Charles Farthing, 85 died Tuesday May 31, 2011 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Eva Craig Farthing for 65 years. Harrison was born December 6, 1925 in Rock Falls, IL., he was the son of the late Harrison M. and Mildred Fisher Farthing. Harrison was a WWII Navy Veteran, a member of the VFW, American Legion and the D.A.V. a retired member of the Steamfitters Local Union of 452, Lexington Ky. Harrison enjoyed Fishing and Deer Hunting. In addition to his wife of 65 years, he is survived by three sons, Jack Farthing of Danville, Jerry and Jim Farthing of Burgin. Three grandsons, Tab of Mercer County, J. Chris of Danville, Casey of Mercer, and one granddaughter: Sharon Willmarth of Dallas TX. Harrison was also survived by three great grandsons and one great granddaughter. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Lester Tirey and Dr. Ralph Neal officiating. Burial will be in the Shawnee Run Baptist Church Cemetery with grandsons, Tab Farthing, Chris Farthing, Casey Farthing, Donnie Web, Ricky Craig and Mark Harlow serving as pallbearers. The Members of the V.F.W. and the American Legion will be serving as honorary pallbearers. Visitations will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday June, 3 2011 and after 7:00 a.m. Saturday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.
