Mrs. Leila Durrence Died In Glennville Sunday Morning
Mrs. Leila Daniel Durrence,88,widow of J.I. Durrence, died at her residence in Glennville Sunday morning after a long illness.
She was a native of Tattnall County and a member of Beards Creek Primitive Baptist Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Essie Stanfield, Mrs. Emily DeLoach, and Mrs. Vera Banks, all of Glennville, and Mrs. Elise Smith of Savannah; four sons, C.P. Durrence, Coyte Durrence, Ivy Durrence, and Darwin Durrence, all of Glennville; a sister, Mrs. J.K. Durrence of Claxton; sixteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Monday at 3:30 p.m. at Beards Creek Primitive Baptist Church conducted by Elder P.O. Revels, Jr. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were nephews, Grady Daniel, Herbert Daniel, Harry DeLoach, Ray Durrence, Carlton Durrence, and William Nesmith.
Rimes Mortuary of Glennville was in charge.
