Captain during the Civil War. Co.'s I & D 48th Alabama Infantry. After the War, captained a ferry boat across Weiss Lake, surrounding Centre, AL.
Married Mary S. White (Coosa, AL) around 1851.
2nd wife Mary E. Tate (b. 1832 Cherokee Co., AL) 1865

I would adjust the ferry to across the Coosa River as Weiss Lake was a man-made lake that was formed in the early 60s
