Oliver W. Allard, age 100, died Monday, May 30, 2011 at the Village at Regional West in Scottsbluff with his wife at his side. A service of celebration will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 3, 2011 at the Village at Regional West in Scottsbluff, with Pastor Ed Hunzeker officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 6, 2011 at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Littleton, Colorado, with Military Rites rendered by the United States Army. Memorials in his name may be made to Prairie Haven Hospice or to the Village at Regional West. The casket will be open one hour prior to the service. Jolliffe Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. His obituary may be viewed online at www.jolliffefuneralhome.com where online condolences may be made.

Oliver as born January 25, 1911 at Gallipolis, Ohio to Dennis F. and Anna I. (Gillespie) Allard. He served in the United States Army during World War Two and was honorably discharges as Master Sergeant on April 20, 1947. He married the love of his life, Virginia Wheeler, on May 25, 1940, living most of their married life in Colorado. Oliver worked as a Real Estate Appraiser until his retirement. He was an active member of the Central Presbyterian Church in Denver since 1957. He and his wife Virginia served the church in ministry to singles and other volunteer opportunities. They moved to the Village at Regional West in 2003. Oliver was a friend to all and a very caring and loving man. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him

He is survived by his wife Virginia, sisters in law Dorothy Cloidt and Mercedes Wheeler, special niece Barbara Lewis, nephew Charles Lewis and spouse Anita and great niece Katherine Ann, and nephew James Allard and spouse Mary. He also leaves behind many family members including nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. His parents preceded him in death.
