Charles W. Scott, 85, of 1129 North Twenty-third. died at a local hospital Monday morning.
Born in Adams county, Iowa, Aug. 2, 1865, Mr. Scott had lived in Lincoln for the last 43 years. Before his retirement several years ago, he was an overseer of construction work.
Surviving his are his wife, Luella B. of Lincoln; five daughters, Mrs. Jessie Carter of Lincoln, Mrs. Grace Kent of Lincoln, Mrs. Mary Adams of Newbury, Vt., Mrs. Myrtle Land of Wilmington, Calif., and Mrs. Laura Buckout of Portland, Ore.; two sons, Adam F of Lincoln and Henry J. of Newbury, Vt.; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
