Age 96 of Niles, Michigan passed away Monday, September 18, 2006 at 10:00 p.m. at her residence following an extended illness. She was born August 11, 1910 in VanDyke, Virginia to James Addison and Rose Phillips. In Niles since 1946, coming from Middletown, Ohio. Nellie enjoyed gospel music and loved to crotchet. On February 25, 1928 in Louisville, Kentucky she married Estel B. Geary and he preceded her in death May 20, 1990. She was also preceded in death by grandson, Bruce Geary who died in 1974; 4 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by daughter, Bonnie R. Calder of Buchahah, Michigan; son, Ronnie . (Judy) Geary, Elkhart, Indiana; 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 26 great-great-grandchildren and former daughter-in-law, Joyce Geary of Niles, Michigan. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Friday, September 22, 2006 at Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles, Michigan with Pastor Jeffrey L. Whittaker of Michiana Christian Embassy officiating. Burial in Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, Miles, Michigan. There will be no visitation. Arrangements by Halbritter Funeral Home. Memorials contributions to donor's choice.
