NEW SUMMERFIELD-Finus Dotson, 84, of New Summerfield died at 1 p.m. Wednesday in a Jacksonville hospital after a long illness.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Church of Christ at New Summerfield with O. R. Perkins and Verdell Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in McDonald Cemetery under direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home.
Mr. Dotson had lived in the Jacksonville area all of his life and was a retired farmer and cattleman.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Novice Dotson of New Summerfield; three sons, Adolph Dotson and Jim Dotson of New Summerfield, and Adean (G. A.) Dotson of Jacksonville; one daughter, Mrs. Adelle Dotson Ullman of Marietta, Ohio; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jess Overton Martin, Joe Earl Jackson,Johnny Lee Davis, Michael Davis, Rex Murrphy, Terry Dunford, Terry Perkins, James Derrington and Barry Martin.
