Preston E. Amspacher, 78, of Cold Springs Apartments, Manchester, died at 2:59 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Hospital, York, after a brief illness. He was the husband of Thelma M. (Bowers) Amspacher, who died May 29.
A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York Township. There will be no viewing or visitation. The L.E. Diehl Funeral Home Inc., 87 S. Main St., Mount Wolf, is in charge of arrangements.
He was was born May 27, 1916, in York County. He was the son of the late Robert L. and Bessy M. (Becker) Amspacher.
Mr. Amspacher is survived by a son, Preston Amspacher of York; three daughters, Thelma Snelbaker of York, Diane Rapp of Christenburg, Va., and Barbara Dispines of Dover; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Steven Schmuck of Red Lion Bible Church.
