Mr. May was born at Ostego, Ohio, and was for 50 years a resident of Muncie. At the time he was taken ill nine years ago, he was employed at the Masonic Temple. He was a member of Delaware Lodge, No. 46, F. and A.M., and the Chapter, Council and Knights Templar bodies of Masons. He was a member of the Universalist Church, and a charter member of the Red Men's Lodge.
Surviving are the widow, Nettie, who is manager of the Muncie auto license branch and vice-chairman of the Republican Central Committee; a daughter, Hazel Stevenson, at home; a stepdaugter, Mrs. Kenneth F. Russell; a brother, Harry L. May, Brooklyn; and four grandchildren.
The body will be removed from the Parson mortuary to the family home at 2 o'clock this afternoon, where friends may call. The casket will not be opened at the church.
