She was the daughter of Harry L Seip and Elizabeth McLean. She had siblings John M Seip and Harry James Seip.

She was a graduate of Lawrence College in Appleton, WI. She entered AAF Flight training 6 April 1943 at Avenger Field, Sweetwater, TX.

Along with her Instructor Pilot Calvin G Atwood and fellow WASP Helen Jo Severson, she was killed in UC-78 #42-39287 when it crashed on a routine training flight approximately 10.5 mi NE of Big Spring TX.

Well st., beloved daughter of Harry L. and Elizabeth McLean Seip, sister of John M. and Harry James Seip, passed away at Sweetwater, Tex., on Monday, Aug. 30, aged 27 years. Services Saturday, Sept. 4 at 1:30 p.m., at the Ritter Funeral Home, 5310 W. North av. Interment Forest Home cemetry. In state after 1 p.m. Friday.

Miss Margaret Seip
Funeral services for Miss Margaret Seip, 27, who was killed Tuesday during a flight at the ferry command training center, Big Spring, Tex. will be held at the Ritter chapel, 5310 W. North av., at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Forest Home cemetery. Pallbearers will be members of the civil air patrol unit, of which Miss Seip was a member. The body is at the Ritter chapel.
