Willard Lee Arnold of Lake Norma Estates in Huntsville, Texas passed away on Sunday March 21, 2010. He was surrounded by family as he left this world in peace. He was born in Calvin, Oklahoma in 1930 to Grady Martin and Lena Arnold.

Willard grew up and moved from his roots in Oklahoma by joining the United States Navy and then transferring over to the United States Army where he did 2 tours of duty in Vietnam. He was awarded First Oak Leaf Cluster to the Army Commendation Medal, First Oak Leaf Cluster to the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal Clasp, Silver with 1 Loop, First OLC to Combat Medical Badge, Bronze Star Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster with "V" Device and Purple Heart while serving in the Army. He retired with honors after twenty years. Returning home, Mr. Arnold pursued a successful career with the Texas Department of Corrections, where he retired after another twenty years as a Regional Medical Administrator.

Mr. Arnold joins his long time wife Masae Arnold who passed in October 27, 2004. They were happily married for 53 years. Mr. Arnold is survived by his oldest son, Willard G. Arnold, daughter, Nancy Waldron, and youngest son, Eddy Arnold. Willard G. Arnold is married to Bristol Porter, and they have two children: Ashley and Andy. Nancy Waldron is married to Mark Waldron, and they have two children: Tommy Waldron (married to Brice Tountas) and Lisa Mahaffey (married to Luke Mahaffey). Eddy L. Arnold is married to Dorothy Refsell, and they have four boys: Eddy Kyle, Nate, Sam, and Cameron.

Visitation will be held Wednesday March 24, 2010 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home located at 1700 Normal Park Drive in Huntsville, Texas. A celebration of Mr. Arnold's life will be held on Thursday March 25, 2010, 10:00 a.m. at the Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will be at Brook Cemetery in Huntsville, Texas.
