MRS. J.L. THORNTON was born in Tennessee April 5, 1841. Died Mar.4, 1922. Age 80 years 10 months and 29 days. She came to Missouri before the Civil War. Made a profession of religion when a girl and had always lived the Christian spirit. Was a fond mother and kind to all. Her husband J.L. Thornton preceded her in death seven and half years ago. Funeral services where held at the Omer Church conducted by J.W. Porter of Jerico Springs, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Omer Cemetery.
