"Of Pneumonia, in Halifax county, Va., after an illness of eleven days, Mrs. PARTHENIA, wife of Captain Elisha Betts.

Sister B. was a sincere, a devoted Christian, and those who knew her best loved her most. During her illness she suffered much; yet, she bore her sufferings with patience. She is gone. Her friends will see her face no more in the flesh; but, as many of them as love our Lord Jesus Christ sincerely, may confidently expect to meet her in a world of perfect bliss, where there will be no more sorrow, pain or death."
