Dexter Ray Adam, age 53, of Jefferson City, Missouri died Wednesday December 15, 2010 at his residence.

Dexter was born on April 10, 1957, in Independence, Kansas, a son of Lloyd James and Twlia Adams.

He cared very deeply about people and spent much of his time in nursing and serving others. Most recently he worked for the State of Missouri overseeing distributions of the flu vaccines throughout the state . He was devoted in his beliefs of Jesus as the Risen Son of God desiring to be a imssionary inAfrica. He attended the First Church of God.

Dexter is survived by his mother Twylia Adams Dubois of Frisco, Texas; two children, Aaron Andrew Adams and Amber Ann Adas both of Troy, Missouri; four siblings, Carol Carl of Frisco, Texas, Jerry Adams of r Columbus, Ohio, Polly Leffler of Nixa, Missouri and Peggy Adams of Plano, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his father and eldest brothe, James Allen Adams.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00p.m. Sunday, December 19 2010, at the First Christian Church of God. Private interment will be at a later date.
