CHARLOTTE N. EISENBERG, 94, died Saturday, March 19, 2005, at Canterbury Nursing Home. Born April 19, 1910, in Putnam Co. Ohio, she was one of ten children born to Rutherford and Mary Baxter Doty, all of whom have preceded her in death. She lived most of her life in Fort Wayne. Once known as "the sweetest lady on State St.", she clerked at Pio's Market from 1954, until retiring in 1975. She had also worked at the Servwell, A&P and Rogers Markets. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She was married to Donald M. Eisenberg, Dec. 19, 1938. Affectionately known as Grandma Charlotte, she will be sadly missed by Lisa, Brianna, Jennifer, Michael Lowery, Susan, Jon, and Erin Dobbs; niece, Carol Sue Lowery; and numerous other nieces and nephews. She was preceded her in death by her husband, Donald, Oct. 1960. Service is 1 p.m. Tuesday at D.O. McCombs & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral home, 1140 Lake Ave. Calling from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial at Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials to Arthritis Foundation, Indiana Chapter.
