Milton L. Dean, 75, of Eau Claire passed away unexpectedly Thursday evening, Oct. 29, 2009 at his residence.

Milt was born in Benton Harbor, MI on July 13, 1934 to Albert and Helen (Blakeman) Dean. He served his country in the United States Army from 1957 - 1959. He was then employed at Clark Equipment Company as a welder for 30 years. Following that he worked at Linberg/MPH in Riverside for 10 years. He was also a member of the Benton Harbor American Legion Post 105.

Milt was an exceptional football player while in the service. He later learned to play the bass guitar and had a great country music singing voice. Another passion was riding his motorcycle for fun and in various community events.

Mr. Dean is survived by his wife Ruth; son Greg (Mary) Dean of Coloma; daughters Brenda (Larry) McMillin of Kennet, MO and LeAnne (Steve) Cicero of Wisconsin Dells, WI; a stepson Troy Sundell of Paris, MI; stepdaughters Ellen McCauley of Evart, MI and Lori Cleary of Watervliet; sister Laura McCoy of Coloma; brother Sgt. Major William (Alice) Dean of Ft. Hood, TX; sixteen grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Milt was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Rebecca, stepdaughter Nancy, brother George Dean and his sister Sally Nelson.

Funeral services with military rites will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. Visitation with the family will be from 4–7 p.m. Monday.
