Martha was the 3rd child of Per Person Løssetosdalen (Peder P. Dahl, 1841-1911) and Anne Halvorsdatter Husfloen. The family immigrated to SD in 1893 and moved to Moscow in 1903. She married Bert Luvaas in 1895 and they had 15 children. She was a wonderful seamstress. She and Bert established a farm 6 miles N of Moscow; later they moved to 320 N. Howard, where she succumbed to cancer.
