Obituary
Logan Amos Cook, son of Judson and Alma Cook, was born Sept. 2, 1886, in the town of Sylvan, Richland County, Wis. He passed away July 27, 1958 at the Richland Hospital, after a brief illness at the age of 71 years. On 12 Feb 1906 in Soldiers Grove, Wisconsin; he was united in marriage to Martha McCumber, who passed away in Portland, Ore. To this union were born seven children, four of whom survive, Mildred Walker and Robert, of Portland, Ore; Glenn of Minneapolis, Minn. and Emily Thompson of the Town of Akan Richland County, eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Also surviving is his wife, the former Flossie Kellogg to who he, was united in marriage on 11 April 1940 in Deocroah, Iowa, and one step-daughter Vera Shepard of Kenosha. Besides his wife and children he leaves three brothers, Lee of Sylvan, Stephan of Richland Center and Emerson of Coeur De Alene, Idaho. His parents, two sisters and two brothers preceded him in death. When a young man he became a member of the Pleasant Ridge Church. The greater part of his life was spent on the old home farm in the town of Sylvan. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Funeral services were held July 30 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sugar Grove Church of Christ, Cloyd Christman officiating, and interment was made in the Sylvan cemetery. Among the many who attended the funeral were his four children.
