Mildred Ida Clark, 86 of Shelley, Idaho, died Dec. 4, 2000, at her home of natural causes.
She was born July 19, 1914, in Jefferson City, Iowa, to George Victor Hauptman and Margaret Edith Sprague Hauptman. She grew up and attended schools in Iowa.
In July of 1934, she married Edward Jannings in Mount Carmel, Iowa. They later divorced. On Nov. 15, 1946, she married Delbert Clark in Dilon Mont. They made their home in Idaho Falls.
She was a mother and homemaker. She also worked at Rogers Brothers Co. for 10 years and at the Salvation Army for 25 years.
She was a member of the Salvation Army. Mildred enjoyed traveling, collecting antiques, hunting, and canning her own produce.
Survivors include her husband, Delbert Clark of Shelley; sons, Larry E. (Sandra) Jannings, Chet (Sharon) Jannings and Brent Clark, all of Idaho Falls, and Roger (Marie) Clark of Shelley; a daughter-in-law, Pat Clark of Seattle; a sister, Virginia Burchfield of Lake City, Iowa; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Chet Jannings; five brothers, Ralph, Edgar, Clyde, George, and Carl; and five sisters, Bertha, Edna, Ruby, Edith and Ada.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave. in Idaho Falls, with the Salvation Army officiating. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home Friday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Saturday for one hour.
