Raphine - Alvah Lyle Campbell, 51, died Thursday at University Hospital in Charlottesville.

Survivors include his mother, Ella Cash Campbell of Raphine; Miss Karen Gertrude Campbell and Miss Kathy Diane Campbell, both of Salem, and Mrs. Patsy C. Bryant of Raphine; one son, Curtis M. Campbell of Fort Bliss, Tex.; five brothers, James C. Campbell, Curtis P. Campbell, Malcolm D. Campbell and Everett M. Campbell, all of Raphine, and Richard D. Campbell of Lyndhurst; one sister, Mrs. Lucy C. Groah of Vesuvius; and two grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Harrison's Chapel at Lexington, conducted by the Rev. Dewey Ferguson and the Rev. Preston Nowlin. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery at Steeles Tavern.

Active pallbearers will be James Mohler, Don Cash, John B. Painter, Milton Bryant, Junior Smith and Elwood Brooks.
Honorary pallbearers will be nephews.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Harrison Funeral Home in Lexington.
