Charles A. Frasher, age 81, of Mansfield died Saturday afternoon March 4, 2000 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Frasher was born November 7, 1918 in Mansfield to Clayton B. and Anna Marie Schmidt Frasher Bachelder, living in this area all his life. He was a retired employee of Artesian Industries. He was a member of the Men's Garden Club, enjoyed traveling and woodworking and had served in the U.S. Army during World War II at the Battle of the Rhine. Surviving are his wife of fifty-three years Ruth Knowlton Frasher, two sons and daughter-in-law Robert Frasher of Mansfield, and Ronald and Rebecca Frasher of Mansfield: two grandchildren, Ashley and Aaron Frasher of Mansfield and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Robert Bachelder; infant brother, David Frasher and a special cousin. Lillian Conley. Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Directors Monday March 6, 2000 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday March 7, 2000 in the funeral home at 1:00 pm by Rev. Larry Collins. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park where Military Services will be conducted by the Richland County Joint Veterans Detail Burial Detail.
