Lorna M. Grapentine

Lorna M. Grapentine, age 73, of 47 S. Hiawatha Circle, died on Friday, December 2, 2005 at the Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.

Lorna was born on August 1, 1932 in Portage County, a daughter of the late Ralph and Delia (Sherman) Bender. She attended schools in Portage County and graduated from Sheboygan Central High School. On December 2, 1950 she was united in marriage to Virgil Grapentine at Fountain Park United Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on January 29, 1998. Lorna had been employed at various businesses in the Sheboygan area. She enjoyed to garden, loved to visit antique shops and was a passionate Coca-Cola memorabilia collector.

Lorna is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Brom of Sheboygan; a son, Steve (Sandra) Grapentine of Kiel; four grandchildren, Andria (Anthony) Haag of Oak Creek, Amanda Brom (special friend, Donald King) of Michigan; Matt of Fond du Lac and JD of Kiel. A very special friend, Donald Grapentine of Sheboygan along with nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives also survive. She is further preceded in death by a stepfather, Roy Stewart, five infant brothers and sisters, a brother Ralph and a sister, Arlyn.

A funeral service for Lorna will be held 6 p.m., Tuesday, December 6 at the Novak-Ramm-Ziegler Funeral Home with Deacon Sylvester Regan officiating. Interment of her cremains will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home, 1535 S. 12th St. on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 6 p.m.

A memorial fund has been established in Lorna's name.
