Bennie L. Barfield, Sr., 81, of Houston, passed away Friday, August 2, 2002. He served his country in the US Army and retired from Hughes Tool Co.
Bennie was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Jean Barfield in 1999, and is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Bob Hagle; son and daughter-in-law, Bennie L., Jr. and wife, Cynthia; sister, Ella Faye Springer; brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Louise Barfield, Edgar and wife, Juanita Barfield; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 PM on Monday, August 5, 2002, at Forest Park East Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 12:30 PM on Tuesday, August 6, 2002, in the chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home. Private interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
