On July 21, 1926, the death angel entered our home and took from our fond embrace our loving father, Henry F. Asbury.

He was born Nov. 23, 1845, died July 21, 1926, aged 80 years, 7 months and 28 days. He professed religion and joined the Baptist Church at Pleasant Hill, Feb. 3, 1866, and then moved his membership to Taylors Grove, Oct. 24, 1885, and helped to build and organize that church and was always a loyal member and ready to help those in need and speak words of comfort to those in distress.

The funeral services were conducted in a beautiful and impressive manner by Rev. J.M. Dickerson from Job 15 14: "If a man should die shall he live again."

He leaves seven children, 28 grandchildren and a host of friends to mourn his loss. We, the bereaved, wish to thank our many friends for their many acts of kindness during fathers sickness and death, but oh how sad and lonely we are. The vacant chair can never be filled anymore, still we know he has gone to live with mother and his two sisters, who await him on the other shore. It is so hard to say farewell to those we love, yet as God has willed it is, __
humble ___ in, looking forward to the great ___ as here no farewells are ___.
