grandson, son of LaMont Redd: LaMont Williams Een (1970-1972)
Davis County Clipper, January 3, 2005. Lola Redd Een, 89, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2005, in Bountiful, Utah. She was born Nov. 21, 1915, in Bluff, Utah, to Herbert Haven and Myrtle Porter Redd. Her childhood years were spend in Blanding, Salt Lake City and Long Beach, Calif. She graduated from East High. She married Perry L. Een Aug. 2, 1952. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Perry and Lola raised their seven children in North Salt Lake and St. George. Lola was a good seamstress. She also made many quilts for family and friends. She loved to grow a garden and bottled fruits and vegetables for her family. Mother was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in all her callings and especially loved working with the children. Lola and Perry served a mission to Sacramento, Calif. After their mission, Lola concentrated on genealogy and with Perry worked in the St. George LDS Temple which brought her much joy. She loved missionary work and three sons and three daughters served honorable missions. Many of her grandchildren followed her example and served missions also. Mother had an adventurous spirit. She went parasailing on her 80th birthday and kept her sense of humor until the end.

Lola is survived by her children, LaMont Een, Hurricane, Utah; Kay (Don) Rasmussen, Brigham City, Utah; Patricia (Jay) Schiffman, Bountiful; David (Sandy) Een, Bountiful; Kim (Miriam) Een, Las Vegas, Nev.; Kristie (Steven) Heyborne, Hyde Park, N.Y.; 17 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

They truly are angels on earth. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the LDS Missionary or Perpetual Education Fund.
