Mary was born to Richard & Altha Kincaid in in Grand Rapids, MI.
Until 1950 they lived in Grant, MI, where Richard and his brother, Dean, were muck farmers. In 1950 the Richard Kincaids moved to Blue Spring Lake near Palmyra, WI, and both Richard and Dean began muck farming just outside of Palmyra. Mary has a sister, Gail, and a brother, Alan.
Mary graduated from Palmyra High School and received her bachelor of arts degree from Lawrence University in Appleton, WI.
In 1963 Mary married Terry Tutton and they had a son and daughter.
She has been in a number of phases of the arts. Presently she is a concierge in a luxury hotel.
Mary & Terry lived in Gurnee, IL, during their working lives, and Mary was bookmobile manager for the local public library. The Tuttons retired in 1994 and moved back to Palmyra where they became active in the Palmyra Historical Society. Mary was the newsletter editor, the gift shop manager, the archivist and a genealogist.
Her avocations were canoeing, hiking and reading. Mary was a lifelong human rights advocate and a long-time supporter of Amnesty International and Doctors Without Borders.
