Pete died at 5:02 pm, Friday November 8, 1991 at the age of 61, at his residence in Towanda, Il of an apparent heart attack.

He was born October 21, 1930 at Roanoke, the son of Lawrence W. and Margaret Loehr Meginnes. He Married Beverly Biefeldt September 18, 14966 at Anchor.

Pete was married to Beverly Bielfeldt, he had two children, Kay (& Denny Schneider) and Philip Meginnes (& Rita Mills). He has 5 grandchildren: Ashleigh Meginnes, Brittany and Calvin Schultz, Alyssa Meginnes and Mary Katelyn Meginnes. He also has 4 step grandchildren: Jason Boswell, Tyler, Tanner and Coty Schneider. He has 2 great grandchildren and 1 step great grandchild.


Pete worked at General Electric as a inspector for 35 years before retiring. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club at G.E. and Our Reedemer Lutheran Church, where he was a former church trustee and a church groundskeeper for 15 years.

Pete was a avid coin and gun collector, and was a Army veteran of the Korean War.

Rev. Douglas Groenewold officiated the burial at Our Reedemer Lutheran Church and Park Hill Cemetary, Bloomington, Il. Kibler-Smith Memorial Home, Bloomington, Il., was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
