James "Jim" W. Bell, of Jerome, MO, passed away Monday, April 11, 2011 at the age of 81. He was born on October 20, 1929 in Maries County, MO to Amos F. Bell and Addie (Laney) Bell. On November 23, 1960, he married Catherine (Steele) Bell who survives of the home.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Donald Bell and Fred Bell; a nephew: Steven Bell; and a great nephew: Christopher Bell.
Jim will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes his wife: Catherine Bell of Jerome, MO; one son: James 'Jirnmy' Bell and wife Cathy of Rolla, MO; two daughters: Deana Starnes and husband Jim of Springdale, AR and Kelly Weidinger and husband Larry of Vienna, MO; seven grandchildren: J.R. Starnes, John Starnes, Sara Weidinger, Justin Weidinger, Caleb Bell, Logan Bell and Wyatt Bell; one sister, Mary Lou Walter and husband George of St. James, MO; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
A funeral service for Jim Bell was conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at the Null and Son Funeral Home of Rolla. Pastor Louis Dunlap officiated. Interment followed in the Harrison-Pillman Cemetery in Jerome. A visitation for family and friends was held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Korean Veteran's Memorial Park. All arrangements were under the direction of the Null and Son Funeral Home of Rolla
