She was widowed at the age of 38. After Eddie's death, she went to work at The Bendix Corporation as an Executive Travel Agent. In the 1960's, She became involved in Ann Arbor Civic Theatre - working as technical director and as a member of the sound and construction crews
Peggy also became involved with "Life Changing Ministries" Thrift Stores. She rebuilt and reconditioned broken sewing machines so they could be sold to generate profits for the ministry, which donates free food to the local community in need.
