On Sunday morning, August 14, 2022, Mae Watkins Moore, 91, resident of Moscow, TN, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home surrounded by family.
Funeral Services honoring the well lived life of Mrs. Moore will be at 2 PM Tuesday, August 16 at 45 Baptist Church with Bro. Troy Styers and Bro. Wayne Hodges officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Moore was born September 18, 1930 in Fayette County, TN, the daughter of the late Ellis and Lorene Baldwin Watkins. She received her education in the Fayette County Public High School in Somerville, TN and was a valued employee of Troxel Manufacturing Company for 30 years before her retirement.
A devout Christian, Mrs. Moore's love for her family was at the heart of all she did and enjoyed sharing every opportunity to be with them. Affectionately known as "Nennie", holidays were a special time to bring the family together around the dinner table for a large meal.
A true southern lady, Mrs. Moore will be remembered as kind and thoughtful in everything she did. Favorite pastimes included reading her Bible, tending to her beautiful assortment of flowers and was an excellent cook. In earlier years, she was fortunate to have traveled and during her long life had acquired many good friends.
Mrs. Moore has left a lifetime of memories to be cherished by her family and they take comfort in knowing that they will meet again.
Visitation will be from 12 Noon to 2 PM Tuesday, August 16 at 45 Baptist Church.
Memories will continue to be shared by two brothers, Larry Watkins (Pam) of Moscow and Jerry Watkins (Rose), two nieces, Tami Lane and Penny Glidewell (Michael) both of Collierville, four nephews, Perry Lane, Jr. (Carolyn) and Gary Lane (Julie) both of Grand Junction, Duane Watkins of Moscow and Aaron Watkins (Laura) of Arlington, two great nieces, Lauren Keeton and Ally Lane and three great nephews, Daniel Watkins, Corey Lane and Winston Keeton.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Elliott Moore, one sister, Iva W. Lane, one brother, Vernon Watkins and a nephew, James "Bubba" Watkins.
The family requests that memorials be directed to 45 Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
