In San Francisco. April 7, 2002 at age 94 after a brief hospitalization. Born in Denver he was educated in Colorado and had lived in San Francisco since 1929. He was a nationally acclaimed trial attorney and a civic leader. He had been President of the San Francisco Mus eum of Modern Art, a trustee of the S.F. War Memorial and the Exploratorium and co-chair of Mayor Alioto's Crime Commission. At age 71, after 50 years at the law firm of Brobeck, Phleger and Harrison where he was managing partner, he formed his own law firm Lasky, Haas, Cohler and Munter and continued to practice until the age of 88. He was married for 65 years to the former Ruth Helen Abraham who died in 1999. He is survived by his daughter, Morelle Levine of Los Angeles: his son, Marshall Lasky of Chevy Chase, Maryland; and three grandsons; Dr. Harlan B. Levine and Marshall P. Levine of New York, and Samuel M. Lasky of Boston. A Memorial Service and reception will be held Friday, April 19, 2002 at 2:00pm at Temple Emaunel, 2 Lake Street at Arguello Blvd, San Francisco. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the San Francisco Food Bank, 900 Pennsylvania Ave, S.F.
