John S. McKinnon, 87, of Provo, passed away September 8, 2000.

He was born Aug 15, 1913 in Randolph, UT to Lois Della Snowball McKinnon and Arthur McKinnon.

He married Kate Viola Andreasen June 29, 1933 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

John graduated from South Rich High School in Randolph, and later served in the United States Army during World War II - Pacific Theatre.

He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and enjoyed serving in many different callings, including the Boy Scouts of America, and as a temple worker in the Provo LDS Temple.

He was active in the Sons of the Utah Pioneers, and the Retired Steel Workers of America Association.

He loved hunting and fishing, especially fishing, and liked farming and construction work.

John was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, and loved having his family around him more than anything. He was loved and respected by all who knew him.
