Mrs. Avis I. DAVIS, 73, Leiters Ford, died at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph hospital at Mishawaka, where she had been a patient eight weeks.
A resident of Leiters Ford 15 years, she was born Feb. 18, 1895, in Pulaski county, the daughter of Howard and Nora DUKE MILLER. Her marriage was Dec. 21, 1925, to George DAVIS, who died in 1958. Mrs. Davis was a member of the Stull Memorial Methodist church in South Bend.
Surviving are two sons, Lee and Elmer BYBEE, both of Mishawaka; one daughter, Mrs. Viola BYERS, South Bend; three brothers, Frank MILLER, Kewanna; Francis MILLER, Tomahawk, Wis., and Howard MILLER, Star City; two sisters, Mrs. Nell LINCOLN and Mrs. Mabel KLINGER, both of Winamac; seven grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.
Final rites will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Johnson funeral home in Plymouth. The Rev. John W. STALLIONS will officiate. Burial will be in the Memorial Gardens cemetery at Plymouth. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 o'clock tonight.
