Ella r. Eckels, 82, of Beallsville, formerly of Marianna died Wednesday, October 13, 1976, at 2:53 a.m. in Kade Nursing Home, Washington, after a four-year illness.
She was born April 20, 1894, in Aleppo, Greene County, a daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Antil Risor.
She was a member of Church of God, Greene County, had lived in Greene and Washington Counties her entire life, and she and her husband, James H. Eckels, who died September 6, 1968, operated a dairy farm in Marianna before moving to Beallsville in 1960.
Surviving are four sons, O. Ralph, Beallsville, James H., Dallas, W. Va., William L. Washington R.D.r, and Walter B., Scenery Hill R.D.1; three daughters, Mrs. Grace Proter Verno, Washington, Mrs. Ruby Fisher, Rootstown, Ohio, and Mrs. Hilma Workman, Dallas, Tex.; 13 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one sister, Mrs. Mona Milliken, Bozman, Mont.
Two brother, Waslter and Harvey; and one sister, Frances, are deceased.
