Nola was born July 28, 1930 in Idaho Falls to Morgan Haroldsen and Eliza Elva Yeates Haroldsen. She grew up in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1948. Nola continued her education at Rick's College in Rexburg, Idaho and earned a teaching certificate. Nola taught elementary students in Basalt, Osgood, and Bel Aire.
On June 20, 1951, Nola married Bayne Jay Clark in Idaho Falls. After Bayne's military service, he and Nola homesteaded in Hazelton, Idaho, where she was an active member and officer of the Kasota Sage Hens Club. She and Bayne raised five children together and were later divorced.
Nola was a member of the First Christian Church in Idaho Falls and very active in church group activities. Nola worked as a mother and a homemaker; she took care of everyone in her life. She enjoyed farming, gardening, dancing, listening to music, and growing flowers.
Survivors include her daughters, Karen (Denton) Klingler of Blackfoot, ID; Susan (James) Lynch of Shepherd, Montana; brother, Dale (Debbie) Haroldsen of Leslie, ID; sisters, Zola Howard of Meridian, ID; Lillian (Wayne) Graham of Livermore, CA; Eva Jean Jorgensen of Idaho Falls; and granddaughters Kelli Klingler and Kaci (Jason) Balls.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Bryan Jay Clark and John Robert Clark; daughter, Elva Kristine Clark; sister, Faye Elva Haroldsen; and brothers, Clive Morgan Haroldsen and Frederick Thomas Haroldsen.
Graveside services for Nola will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Annis-Little Butte Cemetery with pastor Don Dunn of the First Christian Church officiating.
