Karl W. Corby, Washington Banker, died at his Winter residence today after an illness of several months. His age was 43. He arrived here Monday. Mr. Corby was a director of the Riggs National Bank in Washington, president of the District of Columbia Bankers Association and partner in the brokerage firm of W. B. Hibbs & Com. He was president of the board of directors of the Washington Emergency Hospital and member of the Surf Club and Committee of One Hundred of Miami Beach. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mary Graff Corby; his mother, Mrs. Charles I. Corby; a son, Karl W., Jr. and a daughter, Mary. The body will be sent to Washington tomorrow for funeral services and buried. The New York Times, February 5, 1937
