Debbie Brown, 44, of Crossett died Saturday, August 1, 2009, at the Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett. A native of Honolulu, Hawaii, and a resident of Crossett for the past 31 years, she graduated from Crossett High School in 1983. She was a homemaker and a member of the Magnolia Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Robert Cole Brown of Swartz, LA; her parents, Robert "Buster" and Martha Cole of Crossett; her fiance, Bill Murray of Crossett; three sisters, Cindy Smith of Crossett, Sandy Oden of Hamburg and Tricia Vail of Crossett; a grandson, Trey Brown of Conway; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Brandy Jarrells in 2005 and April Jarrells Culbreath in 2008; a granddaughter, Selena Jarrells, in 2005; and her grandparents, Edna Bauers and Arthur and Evelyn Cole.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 5, in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home with Rev. Jody Gannaway officiating. Burial was held in the Old Crossett Cemetery. Pallbearers were Tim Smith, Brett Vail, Martin Kirsten, Gene Hazlewood, Terry Lancaster and Daniel Shelton. Honorary pallbearers are Wade Vail and Kyle Oden.
