Bill was the son of
William Garfield Kilgore 28 Dec 1882-10 Nov 1932 from Stowe Virginia
and
Violet Parker 1893-10 Nov 1932 Maryland died in San Diego, CA

Bill's father was a Lieutenant in the US Marine Corps stationed in Washington D.C. at the time of Bill's birth. By the age of 3 Bill was living in San Diego CA and that is where he would spend the rest of his life.

He would meet my aunt Florence Eleanor Hauk and they would marry on Dec 9, 1942, since this date is a Wednesday, I think more research is needed on this. I do know they were married for 42 years and most of that time was spent living on Constance Drive in the Kensington district, an upscale, quiet neighborhood in mid-city San Diego with California Spanish-style single family homes.

Bill and Florence lived a comfortable life and befriended many dogs over the years.
Uncle Bill worked for Consolidated/Convair Aircraft factory, retiring after 30 years.

Even though Bill and Florence never had children, Bill's father William came from a family of 7 children and Violet came from a family of at least 5 children so there must be many Kilgore's related out there especially in the Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina areas.

Bill was cremated and his ashes scattered at sea.
