Mable G. Whitney of Campbell passed away in the early morning hours of May 25, 2011, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born and grew up in Marshall, daughter of James Lynnwood and Fannie (Wilson) Davis; they preceded her in death.
Mable made her home and raised her family in Talco.
She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Milton Whitney; a son, Charles Whitney, and a grandson, Chayne Whitney.
Mable leaves a daughter, Lee Truelock and husband Rick, and son Eddie Whitney, all of Campbell; grandsons Jimmie Milner and wife Kim of Greenville, Scotty Sugg, and Grady L. Whitney of Avinger; six great-granddaughters, Cory, Amy, Crystal and Amber of Greenville and Elaina and Juliana Sugg of Perrysburg, Ohio; and two great-great-grandsons, Aiden James and Landyen Lee.
Services will be on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Peters Funeral Home chapel with burial to follow at Talco Cemetery in Talco. The family extends an invitation for everyone to attend.
Visitation and viewing is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Greenville.
