Cleo Betty Garrison was born to Roy A. and Virdie Garrison in Grimes, Oklahoma She graduated from Elk City High School and South Western College in Weatherford, Oklahoma. She taught school for many years and later became a Social Worker. On January 1, 1924, she married Virgil Poore in Elk City and they moved to Sayre, Oklahoma where he died in 1958. Their only child, Charles Warren Poore died in 1946. In 1962, she married Mayo Cox and he died a short time later in 1963. On April 1979, she married Cleto Franklin and they lived in Sayre until her death.
Funeral Services were conducted December 5, 1983 in Sayre Church of Christ, Eddie Bear officiating. Interment followed in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Elk City, Oklahoma.
