Carol Jean Bias, 72, of HC 78, Rock Cave, the Salem Ridge community, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2002, at her home under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice.
Mrs. Bias was born Oct. 9, 1929, in Gaines, a daughter of the late John and Thelma Lanham Ervin.
She married William Bias, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Julia Simons, Buckhannon, and Rhoda Cutright, Rock Cave; a brother, James Ervin, Petroleum; a sister, Alice Snyder, Pittsburgh, Pa.; four grandchildren, Samantha Evans, Buckhannon, Shane Powers, Clarksburg, Roxanna Powers and Heather Simons, both of Rock Cave; and two great-grandchildren, Christopher Pullen, Rock Cave, and Logan Evans, Buckhannon.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jamie Simons.
Funeral Arrangements: Friends will be received at Heavner & Cutright Funeral Home today from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Lloyd Tenney officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Ridge Cemetery in Gaines.
