J.B. Allen

Mr. J.B. Allen, 75, of Hillsboro died Friday, April 7, at a local hospital. He was bron August 24, 1919 in Blum, son of James Bruce and Lizzie Crow Allen. He lived in Hill County all his life. He graduated from the Crow High School near Whitney. He married Leona Krueger in Waco February 9, 1951. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was part owner of Allen Auto Parts from 1946, retiring in 1980. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Hillsboro. Survivors include: his wife; one daughter, Barbara Robinson of Hillsboro; one son, Walter Allen of Hillsboro; four sisters, Mozelle Kelley of Burleson and Rubye Van Winkle, Jewel Allen and Dale Ezell, all of Hillsboro; three grandchildren; two stepgranddaughters; and one great granddaughter. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 10, at Christ Lutheran Church in Hillsboro with Rev. Mark Cattau officiating. Burial was at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro. Memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church in Hillsboro.
