Jesse Roberts dies Sunday
Jesse Green Roberts, retired Rock Island Lines baggage clerk, 618 South Ellison, died at Park View hospital Sunday.
Mr. Roberts was born Dec 27, 1878 at Medicine Lodge, Kansas. He was a member of the First Christian Church, the Independent Order of the Odd Fellows, the Woodmen, the SBA, the WCTU, the Metro political clerks.
He came to Canadian County in 1891 from Kansas. Survivors include his wife, Addie, of the home; three sisters, Mrs. Margie Morris, 519 West Woods on, Mrs. George Hubbs, 502 West Oakland, Mrs. Edward Arnold, Maryland Heights, MO ; six grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were held at 2 pm Wednesday in the First Christian Church with the Rev. C. Reece Porter, minister, officiating. Burial was in the El Reno Cemetery under the direction of Benson funeral home.
