Lived first in Charleston, SC, then in Midway (an unincorporated village between Walhalla and West Union, SC), then in Atlanta, GA. Was a weaver in a cotton mill, later a seamstress in a coverall factory. Married Burney William Spinks March 6, 1904, in her mother's home in Walhalla, SC. Divorced 1918-1919 (undocumented). While in Atlanta she aided many Greek immigrants in settling in the US. Died in her son Jessie's home, 174 Central Ave, Atlanta, GA of Apoplexy (a synonym for Stroke). Buried in Greenwood Cemetery, 1173 Cascade Circle, Atlanta, GA 30311, in Section E, Lot 110, Grave 4. Sons Jessie and Cecil purchased the lot with funds provided by the Grrek community in appreciation for her many benevolent acts toward Greek immigrants. No headstone exists.
