Funeral services were held at the Walker Funeral home Wednesday for James V. Anderson, 81, who died here Monday [Aug 25]. Rev R.G. Smiley was in charge of the funeral services, and the body was interred in Memory cemetery.
A resident of the county for the past sixty years, he is survived by eight children, sixteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, also a brother. His wife preceded him in death in August, 1934.

Eight children survive including Pearl, Claude, Harry, James Clayton, Willie, Mrs Mary Clark, Mrs Hazel Jewell and Mrs Corda Cross. Also sixteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren and a brother, A.O. Anderson of Knoxville.
The deceased had lived for 60 years in Page county.
