Mrs. Catherine Ruhland, a resident of the Unin Hill Community for nearly fifty years, died on March 4 at the home of her son, Joseph. She was in her 78th year. She had been in declining health for three months. Mrs. Ruhland was born in Alsace-Lorraine on September 19, 1851 and came to this country with her parents in 1860, settling at Ontanagon, Michigan. Five years later the family moved to Fort Washington, Wis., and there she was married to Adam Ruhland on Sept. 28, 1870.
